Mentha Print

"Mentha" is part of my Plant Taxonomy collection, composing of plants ordered taxonomically or geographically in a vintage botanical poster style.

Featuring spearmint, peppermint, and pennyroyal.

Mints are aromatic, perennial herbs loved by pollinators, such as bees. Spearmint was hybridised with other mint species to create peppermint, with the latter having a higher menthol content. Pennyroyal holds cultural significance for the Alentejo region of Portugal, used commonly in regional dishes and drinks.
